The THC Tirso Molina Hostel is strategically located in the centre of Madrid, because it is situated very close to the metro station and train station of Puerta de Atocha. Also, it is near Puerta del Sol, Palacio Real, Plaza Mayor and the cultural centres (the Prado, Thyssen, and Reina Sofía Museums), entertainment and businesses that are in the centre of the city.

SUBWAY

The closest metro station is ” TIRSO DE MOLINA – line 1″ just 200 metres walking from the hostel. The price of a single ticket is 1.50 €.

PLANE

From the airport: The ticket “metro airport” has a cost of 4,50 €. You must take line 8 to the station called “Nuevos Ministerios”, and change to line 10 to get to a station called “Tribunal”, and then finally change again to line 1 to the “Tirso de Molina” station (exit onto Calle Conde de Romanones).

BY TRAIN, BUS, OR PRIVATE CAR

In the Tirso de Molina Square you will find several EMT bus stops numbers 6, 26, 32, 65 and M1 that have connections with the rest of the old quarters of Madrid. If you travel by train, the Atocha station is very close and if you’re using a private vehicle there are several car parks located beside the hostel:

Plaza de la Cebada Public Car Park.
Plaza de Jacinto Benavente Public Car Park.
Garaje Centro Public Car Park, Calle Relatores, 11

MADRID CENTRAL

The property is located inside “Madrid Central” (low emission zone), which is an area of restricted access in the period of legislation on air quality and sustainable economy.

The vehicles without a badge won’t be able to access this area. The vehicles with a B or C badge will be able to access this area only if they park in a car park within Madrid Central.

Vehicles with ECO badge will be able to access this area and park in a parking lot or a SER (Regulated Parking Service) area for a maximum of 2 hours. Vehicles with ZERO badge will be able to access without any restriction. The property is exempted from any responsibility in case of penalties that may derive from Madrid Central.
